Garden soil testing, is one of those things that, if you don't do it, you'll regret it! In fact, ideally, we all want to know a whole lot about our soil, as that's the perfect time to rejuvenate it before you settle down any new organic garden bed. However, can still learn quite a bit about it, although just have that one night to do so. You might need to do a sample test on your soil to make sure that you're getting the most from it, before you plant anything, or even after you've sowed seeds. It can be a real eye opener to see the kinds of results you can achieve with a simple soil analysis.

In the sample garden soil testing kit, you'll find a kit of special instruments to collect the samples. They consist of a gluconess Emulsion Impetus, and a magnetized needle attached to a special wand. You put the piece of earth in a chamber, and place the wand in it. Water is then added, and the magnetic particles within the organic matter gather around the magnetic needle.

As the organic matter settles, and forms into tiny rocks, it provides the scientists with a record of the mineral content, and a wealth of information about your soil fertility. In most cases, the mineral content is pretty good - providing you with excellent garden soil. However, some soils form clumps, which look just like large rocks, and may contain some of the unwanted substances that can affect your garden in a negative way. The minerals of your soil need to stay together in these formations to maintain its best possible condition. If they break apart, or separate, then other plants or crops are at risk of being affected.

Your garden soil testing kit will provide instructions for preparing the samples. For example, there are instructions for preparing the sample rock, or for collecting the small rocks. Then, the sample is ground up, and the fine, loose particles are mixed together with the soil. Finally, the sample is sent to a laboratory. After analysis, the ph level and the nutrient levels will be determined, and the gardener will be alerted to any problems.

So, what kind of garden soil testing equipment does a university have? A hydroponic lab uses a growing medium consisting of a medium that encourages plant growth, and a controlled environment that discourages pests from taking over the plants. The advantage of this type of set-up is that all of the plants are similar, which makes for uniform quality. Another advantage is that the University will provide all plants necessary for the testing, so no middle man is necessary.

Many independent labs do not use these kinds of methods. Instead, they send samples to a University lab, and then do the testing at their own laboratories. Many independent labs use automated equipment. This is the most expensive way to get results, since automated equipment cannot work well in different types of weather.

An advantage of these kinds of labs is that they can provide information immediately. For example, if a gardener finds that his soil is becoming unfit for organic gardening, he can analyze the sample to see if the problem lies with his soil, or with his gardening practices. He can decide whether to change his methods, or to simply apply the correct organic gardening fertilizer. These types of labs also provide soil samples for other purposes. They may conduct research on environmental trends related to soil testing, or they may send soil samples to other places for testing.

In the previous decade, it was discovered that different species of plants contained different amounts of calcium and magnesium, as well as other essential minerals. The composition of soil contains about 50% trace elements, so one can determine the percentage of these minerals in a soil sample very easily. Gardeners can buy a test kit and test their soils to determine what percentage of these minerals are present, and how much of each mineral they need in order to grow healthy plants. Soil texture is an important factor in determining the health of a garden. Healthy plants will have a finer texture, while unhealthy plants will have a coarse texture.
